The Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute is dedicated to fostering research skills and sharing knowledge, among experienced investigators and the next generation of cancer researchers. To this end, the institute has created a seminar series so that basic and applied researchers can share their findings and work-in-progress.

The institute also manages the Cancer Research Training Program, which provides salary support and skills training to graduate students pursuing cancer research at Dalhousie University.
