Dr. Jonathan Blay, Scientific Director

Dr. Blay is an active researcher, investigating how the tumour microenvironment affects the behaviour of cellular proteins that are involved in metastasis, and the use of drugs to regulate those proteins. He is a Professor in the Departments of Pharmacology, Pathology and Biology at Dalhousie University. He also has extensive experience in the administration and advocacy of research at a regional and national level.

Cindy Pettipas, Administrative Director

Cindy has a BBA from Acadia University and has Canadian Securities Course and Professional Financial Planning Course Certificates. She worked for many years with TDCanada Trust and served as the Provincial Director of the Terry Fox Foundation Nova Scotia Office before working at BHCRI.

Shannon Donovan, Administrative Assistant

Shannon has received Diplomas in Computer Support, Information Systems Support and Photography and also has a Certificate in Business. She has worked for a number of years in those fields and has been involved in the non-profit sector since 2005.
