BHCRI Cancer Workshop
The Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute (BHCRI) annual Cancer Workshop was developed to enhance the training of Cancer Research Trainees, but with presentations of interest to anyone in the field of cancer research. The topic of the 2011 Workshop was Cancer Genetics and Biomarkers with the topic changing yearly to expose attendees to many areas of cancer research. The guest speakers, representing various areas of cancer research, have been chosen for their expertise on the topic.
The 2012 BHCRI Cancer Workshop will be held on Monday, May 28 from 08:00-17:00 in Theatre B, Tupper Link Building, 5850 College Street, Carleton Campus, Dalhousie University.
The 2012 Workshop "Medical Imaging in Oncology: Clinical and Research Applications" will involve various speakers around the theme of imaging and cancer, both for human patients and in biomedical research. There will be presentations from experts in different imaging methods (CT, PET, and Optical) and tours of local facilities.
Tours are available to CRTP Trainees and a limited number of others who may be interested. For more information, please contact admin@bhcri.ca.

The event is open to researchers and students throughout Atlantic Canada. The Workshop is mandatory for CRTP trainees. Other studentship award recipients are encouraged to attend.
A social with food and a cash bar will follow in the Tupper Link Commons from 17:00-18:30.
